The Brecon Fans Race Weekend 6th & 7th July 2024
Two classic fell races in the Brecon Beacons. Note that in 2024 the races will return to their original order: Pen y Fan on Saturday, Fan y Big on Sunday. This means we have the relative comfort of the Village Hall after the second race.
Day 1: Pen y Fan Race
A short race up the highest mountain in southern Britain, packing nearly 2000 feet of ascent into 3.5 miles. First run in 1986, the race has been tackled by all the top UK fell runners (see the results archive), and has a record time that many consider unbreakable. Find out more.

Day 2: Fan y Big Race
A perfect 10-mile skyline route, starting and finishing in lovely Llanfrynach. Created in 2007, the race has proved popular with hardened fell runners and novices alike. Find out more. We've reversed the route in 2024 for a bit of added challenge!
