The Brecon Fans Special Race 5th July 2025

It's a special for 2025! Instead of the usual two classic fell races in the Brecon Beacons, this year we've combined them into one: the magnificent "Fan y Big y Pen y Fan y Big Race". At nearly 19 miles and over 6000 feet of ascent on the Saturday, and gentle recovery on the Sunday, this will make a proper weekend of it!

The Fan y Big and Pen y Fan races combined into one for 2025: nearly 19 miles long, with over 6000 feet of ascent, taking in the summits of Fan y Big, Cribyn, Pen y Fan (twice!) and Corn Du. Find out more.

Prizes

Each race has a generous prize list for all age categories up to V70, plus M/F team prizes. There's an overall prizes (M and F) for the best performance across the two races.

Recce Weekend

Sorry, the complete route is too long for us to lead slow recce outings, but it's all very accessible from free car parks and by public transport, and we strongly encourage anyone taking part to ensure they have covered the entire route at least once before the event.
