Fan y Big Results 2014

Part 2 of the Brecon Fans Race weekend attracted 136 runners to the start line in Llanfrynach. Most were nursing sore legs having completed part 1, the Pen-y-fan race.
This did not bother Hugh Aggleton from MDC who made it 2 wins out of 2 (for the second year running), leading from the start to finish in a time of 1.15.49. Shaun Whelan and Chris Jones took 2nd and 3rd spots.
Racing home in 10th place overall was young Bristol and West athlete Kate Hulls. Not only did she take the woman’s title but also set a new course record of 1.23.14. She was followed home by Emma Gould and Helen Fines completing the top 3 woman’s spots.
With her win at Pen-y-fan Helen achieved overall victory for the weekend.
Thanks to all the runners who support this race. They were rewarded with a grand day out in the Beacons.
